The change of command triggered movements across the service. The erstwhile Vice Commander of the PAF, Lt General Pedro Ike I Inserto, took over from Gen Cadungog as The Deputy Chief of Staff (TDCS) at GHQ. The Office of the PAF Vice Commander, as of this writing, is still vacant.

Other generals promoted to the two-star rank were: Maj Gen Alexander A Flores, Commander, Air Logistics Command and Maj Gen Reu Lucio G Samaco, the DCS for Reservist and Retirees Affairs, J-8, at GHQ.
